Our location is ideal for guests who wish to slow down, enjoy nature and experience the unique atmosphere of Kerala’s backwaters. The famous Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, situated on the banks of Vembanad is one of Kumarakom’s principal attractions. Spread over 14 acres, it is home to a wonderful variety of resident and migratory birds. A walk through the sanctuary or a boat ride along its waterways can be a memorable experience for nature lovers and birdwatchers.
Nature lovers may also wish to visit Malarikkal, a nearby village on the banks of the Meenachil River, famous for its stunning water lilies (Ambal) that bloom across the shallow backwaters — especially beautiful during the monsoon and early winter months. It makes for a lovely half-day excursion from the homestay.
